Breast Units/Family History Clinics
- Identify patients due for an annual mammogram.
- Put some brief study information in with the mammogram appointment
- Be able to talk about the study to patients that ask.
- Liaise with the research team about who is booked in for an appointment and when.
Phlebotomy Services/Research Nurse
- Take a 40 ml blood sample following the study protocol. We send a blood kit to patients that includes all you need to take a sample and return it to us. If a research nurse or clinic staff are not available to take the blood sample then we would ask if we could use the Trusts phlebotomy services. In some cases it may be necessary to ask the patient’s GP to take the sample for us instead. We will send you a report each week of all new consent forms received.
Pathology Department
- Provide a sample of the tumour to the research team.
Radiology Department
- Provide anonymised copies of the raw and processed mammogram images
