For GPs

If your patient decides to take part in our study we will let you know. We will send you an information sheet and a copy of their consent form.

In some cases we may need to ask you or your delegated phlebotomist to take a blood sample for us. We will provide your patient with all that you need to do this. The patient will use the return packaging to send the samples back to us.

There is one document that needs completing before a patient can have a blood sample taken.

  1. The Organisation Information Document (OID); this is the agreement between the research team and the GP practice. You can download it here for completion – OID

We will reimburse you for your time – details of costs are found in the OID. In order to claim your costs please send an invoice to the study team.

In the event of a cancer diagnosis we may ask for information from your patients medical notes.
