You are women who have been invited to attend Cambridge Breast Unit for investigations following a recent mammogram.
Why have I been invited?
You have been invited to take part in the study because you have attended the Cambridge Breast Unit. We would like your help in refining the blood tests that will help us to detect breast cancer at an early stage. Please note, you will not benefit personally from this study, we are not testing samples for a diagnosis of breast cancer, but you could be helping generations of women in the future get earlier diagnosis and treatment for the disease.
What will I have to do?
If you are interested in taking part in the study, when you attend your appointment you will be seen by a member of the research team. They will take you through the information sheet and ask you to complete a consent form and fill out a questionnaire. They will also take a blood sample from you.
